The Sanders Home, Marshall, Arkansas

Completed in 2017, the Sanders Home is one of the most distinctive custom homes we have built in Searcy County. Set on open land just outside Marshall, it blends Old World character (stucco, stone and a red metal tile roof) with the comfort and practicality of a modern family home.

Home at a glance

  • 2,784 sq ft on the main floor
  • 693 sq ft second-floor bonus room
  • 3 bedrooms, including a master suite with two private master bathrooms
  • 1 additional full bathroom
  • 900 sq ft garage
  • Nearly 500 sq ft of covered porches
  • Metal tile roof

A grand first impression

Guests are welcomed through arched double entry doors with wrought-iron glass, into a foyer topped with a curved, stained wood plank ceiling. Arched openings, dark-stained trim and rich hand-scraped hardwood floors carry that character throughout the home.

Living and dining

Great Room with stone fireplace

The great room centers on a floor-to-ceiling stacked stone fireplace flanked by built-in bookshelves, under a vaulted ceiling with dark timber beams. Plantation shutters frame the windows. The formal dining room sits under a tray ceiling with crown molding, with iron-and-glass doors leading outside.

A cook’s kitchen

Kitchen and Island

The kitchen features white cabinetry to the ceiling, a sculpted range hood over a gas cooktop, a decorative tile backsplash, granite countertops and a large island with bar seating. Double wall ovens and a walk-in pantry make it as practical as it is beautiful.

The master suite

Master Shower, stone and pebble floor

The owners’ suite includes a tray ceiling and a custom accent wall, plus not one but two master bathrooms. Each has a frameless glass walk-in tile shower, and one adds a pebble-stone floor and built-in bench. The two guest bedrooms feature arched windows looking out over the property.

Outdoor living

Stone-arched Back Porch

Out back, a stone-arched covered porch with a stained wood ceiling and flagstone floor looks out over the land.

Thanks to the homeowners for trusting us with their dream home, and to the craftsmen and suppliers who helped bring it to life.
